KRZYSZTOF PENDERECKI / Matrix 5: Threnody For The Victims Of Hiroshima & more [1994]

Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki's avant-garde music is enough to give me nightmares for weeks. Included on this compilation are eight pieces of pure orchestral rage, madness and the type of orchestral manipulations that makes it difficult to sleep at night.
By being used in films like The Shining, The Exorcist, Inland Empire, Children Of Men, Shutter Island and The Hurt Locker, it should give you a fairly good idea of what sort of intensity levels this music reaches.
This ain't for everybody...in fact, I won't even try to convince anybody to enjoy it. I just hope you discover it on your own.
